About Gary

Gary writes and plays several different styles of music including, Blues, Cool and Brazilian Jazz, Classic and Southern Rock, Classic Soul and Funk. He also performs original tunes, some of which have been recorded by other artists. Over the years, he has worked in solo, duo, trio, quartet and larger formats.

Some of the clubs in which he has performed include:The Bitterend, Tramps, The Bottom Line, The Turning Point, B.B. King's, and The Baked Potato In L.A.. Gary has also done concerts at colleges, museums and libraries, as well as live TV and radio shows and blues and jazz festivals. He was a guest / performer on the PIX Morning News, the FX network cable show, "Breakfast Time", and performed with a drummer at The Arizona Blues Festival, from which he recorded and produced a live CD. He also has produced an original Cool Jazz CD including both solo and group tunes.

Gary's latest CD, with Ko Nakamura, as "The G-Man Power Duo", is entltled, "ECLECXIA" - a blend of Originals and custom arrangements of Classic Covers.

Gary's expanded "G-Man" Band (Drums and Bass added), has performed several times at B.B. King's,Lucille's Grille in New York City.

Gary also maintains a private and class-oriented teaching schedule for guitar and harmonica. when students have," earned their wings", Gary invites them to sit-in for a song or two on his club gigs. He utilizes this technique to bolster student confidence about performing in public.

In addition to his Vocals and Harmonica, Gary’s unique style incorporates the use of Guitar Synthesizer ( Roland GR-1 ) throughout his performances. His finger-style technique, pianistic approach and simultaneous mix of Guitar and Custom Synth Patches – Strings, Organ, Horns, etc. – add Dimension and Depth to his sound. EVERYTHING IS LIVE / REAL TIME.

Currently you can catch Gary in performance at venues in and around Bergen and Morris Counties and NYC. In addition to the on-site calender he e-mails his monthly schedule to his growing list of supporters.
